Find Spiderman

All Branches--All Ages

July 6 through August 14.

Spiderman is hiding somewhere in each library. Read the clue at each branch and find him. When you do, tell someone at the circulation desk or a teen volunteer to get your sticker.

Spidey will be hiding in a new location each week, so check each week for the new clue.

 


 


 

 

Each child will be allowed a full 10 minutes of one-on-one reading time. The dogs provide an uncritical ear while the children gain self-esteem, confidence, public speaking skills and a love of reading. The dogs never interrupt or criticize!

Read to a Dog

 Children ages 5-10 are invited to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a certified therapy dog or Seeing Eye Puppy-in-Training.

Hero Vehicles @ Sussex-Wantage Branch

Come meet everyday heroes and explore their vehicles!

The State Police and the Sussex Fire Department will be at the Sussex-Wantage Library on Tuesday, July 7th at 10:00 AM.

Ask questions, take pictures and see the equipment these heroes use to do their jobs.

Meet a Hero-Volunteer Firemen @ The Dennis Branch

Monday, July 6th at 6:00 PM.  

Come and meet some of the volunteer Firemen who risk their lives to protect us. These brave volunteers will answer questions and demonstrate how heroic volunteering can be. Great for the whole family.

Superhero Bootcamp and Photo Op

Learn how to be a superhero!

Batman and Wonder Woman of Play Central Station in McAfee will be stopping by to train children how to be superheroes.

Burn energy and build strength with obstacle courses and drills.

After training, snap photos with your favorite superheroes!
